Frédéric Letendre

Frédéric Letendre is a lawyer, co-founding partner of YULEX, and trademark agent.
He has 30 years of experience in national and international business law, intellectual property, and technology law. He primarily works with a clientele composed of innovative and technology SMEs from Canada and abroad. He started his career in Europe (Brussels, Paris, and Warsaw).
As an IP and IT lawyer, he is involved with local and international digital businesses at all stages, from start-ups to well-established enterprises. He has developed expertise in strategic alliances, licenses, setting up and operating companies active in various sectors such as e-commerce, communication, MedTech, EdTech, AI, and manufacturing.
He has been involved in the academic community for 20 years. He is the supervisor of the entrepreneurial legal clinic in intellectual property at the Faculty of Law of the University of Sherbrooke. He is a lecturer on the legal aspects of communication at the Master’s in Communication at École de gestion of the University of Sherbrooke. He has also been a lecturer on technology transfers at the Master’s in Technology Law at the University of Montreal.
Frédéric sits or has sat on various boards of directors and advisory committees of organizations related to economic or technological development, including, currently, Productique Québec and ZMQ Global.
He is also a guest speaker at several conferences. He participates in many workshops, webinars, and entrepreneurship contest juries in Quebec and Europe in his fields of expertise.
